• Kristen meets Brady, both of them forgetting he was barely beyond toddler age when she was last in Salem, then offers Samanther a raise in salary, a company car, access to the company jet, and a private slush fund in order to keep Marlena's daughter as an employee at Countess Wilhelmina.
• Daniel collects all the baby clothing, makes a donation to charity, is startled when he sees the donations arrive at the hospital for expectant needy mothers.
• Lucas interrupts Will's first effort at lovemaking with Jackson when he arrives with news of Caroline's impending departure, then proceeds to grill his son's suitor on the specifics of their relationship, infuriating Jackson, who tosses the man from his apartment.
• Caroline prepares to leave with Bo, who meets up with family and friends before bidding a temporary farewell to Salem.
• John and Marlena argue when Kristen seemingly appears over and over at nearly every place they meet.
• Nick kisses Gabriella, then upsets her when he proclaims that Will and Jackson have made a "bad choice" to live as gay men, after which he aggressively pursues and charms her into sleeping together.
• Relieved that she is no longer facing charges, Jennifer realizes that Daniel made a deal with Nicole and races to falsely confess in order to keep the man from leaving Salem and ruining his life.

SalemDay 39 began on Tuesday, November 6, 2012.

• Marlena frets about Kristen's return and agenda.
• After reviewing autopsy results from Nicole's dead baby and re-connecting with Dr Sedwick, who confirms that she declared the unborn baby dead, Daniel finally puts all the pieces together.
• When she doesn't hear from Daniel, a panicked Nicole thinks he has reunited with Jennifer and heads to intercept him.
• Marlena and John plan a Smith Island getaway at the Horton Cabin.
• Nick and Gabriella continue their secret relationship.
• Daniel finds a frazzled Nicole at Jennifer's house, confronts her with details from Dr. Sedwick, and insists she admit the truth that her baby had been declared hours earlier than her fall down the Horton Square stairway.
• After Marlena has an emergency medical call, John heads to Smith Island alone and finds Kristen at the Horton Cabin, where they both end up stranded once the last ferry departs during their conversation.
• A desperate Nicole threatens suicide, only to be rescued by Daniel, who admits her into the hospital.

SalemDay 40 began on Monday, November 12, 2012.

• Marlena arrives at the Horton Cabin and is furious to find John and Kristen awaking from a comfy slumber.
• After Nick and Gabriella hook up again, she faints and is taken to the hospital, where Dr Cameron Davis pronounces that she is pregnant, surprising both her and Samanther, who arrived at the hospital to comfort her fainting former sister-in-law.
• Jennifer decides not to press charges against Nicole, receives Daniel's heartfelt thanks, returns to work at Salem University Hospital, and encourages a grateful Daniel to undergo experimental injection therapy to rehabilitate his hand tremors.
• Kristen names Elvis as her replacement at Countess W.
• After being releases from the hospital, a despondent Nicole wanders Horton Square and spots her former boyfriend Eric Brady, who is revealed to having become a priest.
• Brady warns Kristen to stay away from his father and stepmother, follows her into the park, saves her from an attempted robbery, and is knocked unconscious by a second thug.
• Kristen leaves a phone message for John, which Marlena deletes.

SalemDay 41 began on Monday, November 19, 2012.

• As Brady recovers after a night in the hospital, Marlena deletes a second message from Kristen, leaving John unaware that his son has been attacked.
• Gabriella tells Will that they are becoming parents, then suggests that she wants to terminate the pregnancy to avoid ruining their new relationships.
• Samanther tells Rafe about the pregnancy, then spills the news to Nick.
• Lucas seeks out Jackson, apologizes for his reactions, extends his support for the new relationship, then meets up with his son and unwittingly gives Will the funds needed for Gabriella's abortion.

• Nick hatches a plot and proposes to Gabriella, a development which Will finds awkward, uncomfortable, and unfair

SalemDay 42 began on Tuesday, December 4, 2012.

• Nicole begins her first day working at the rectory and living at the convent.
• Kristen feigns horror and shock at her hookup with Brady.
• Samanther is furious that Eric is letting Nicole back into his life.
• Gabriella accepts Nick's wedding proposal and helps convince Will to decline his role as biological father.
• Secretly disheartened when Brady decides to keep their hookup under wraps. Kristen arranges for Marlena to glimpse a view of their second early morning roll in the hotel hay.

SalemDay 45 began on Wednesday, December 26, 2012.

• Christmas Day in Salem brings excitement to Jennifer and Daniel as each decide that they want to pursue a future together.
• Lucas drags Kate and Billie to the Hortons for XMAS.
• Brady and Kristen continue their secret all-the-time sexathon, this time barely avoiding being caught by her brothers, who pay a holiday visit to her hotelroom to Skype with Stefano Claus.
• The Hortons decorate the tree, joined via Skype by Hope, and then head to the hospital where Santa Victor delivers gifts and Jennifer reads from the Horton Bible.

SalemDay 46 began on Thursday, December 27, 2012.

• After taking the redeye, Hope returns to Salem to encourage Jennifer to pursue Daniel.
• Samanther remains confused about Rafe and Elvis.
• While researching a date for Melanie, Daniel realizes that is has been two years since he lost paternity of Parker Lane.
• Kate interviews a boisterous, ungrateful Nick, then jokes to Will that the Fallon-Hernandez baby will have a good life and that at least Gabriella isn't lying about the baby's paternity.
• When John suggests that the Blacks celebrate New Years Eve with Brady and his new beau, a frustrated Marlena tells John to go to Brady's office to extend the invitation in person, fully aware that Kristen had hinted she was headed there for yet another semi-secret rendezvous.
• Nicole distracts Elvis as the New Year clock heads toward midnight, feigning a drunken scene during which she spills champagne, jumps into his arms, and hints at reconciliation, allowing Rafe and Samanther to ring in the new year on the pier with a romantic moment.
• Chad and Abigail play Monopoly and share a new year's kiss.
• Gabriella and Jackson decide to end their animosity for Will's sake, while Will warns an arrogant Nick Fallon that he will not allow his secret child to be raised by a bigoted bully.

• Elvis is lured from the DiMera secret hideaway by the promise of information about Stefano's murder, only to be kidnapped by Ian and held hostage, only to learn that Ian "killed" the old man and then orchestrated Stefano's return to life.
• Gabriella and Melanie are terrified when Andrew is wheeled into Salem University Hospital, where he dies just after revealing Gabriella's role in the kidnapping to a stunned Chad, who confronts the young woman, forces her to admit that the stalker plot was phony, and learns that she was in contact with Andrew while Melanie was being held hostage.
• T returns to Salem and attacks Will for his "lifestyle change", upsetting Will.
• Justin realizes that his son has deep and growing feelings for Will.
• Jackson finally locates a somewhat distraught Will in the park, attempts to kiss him, and is rebuffed.
• A recovering Nicole is advised by her ob-gyn to halt all sexual activity, leading to an awkward breakup with Daniel, who is questioning his erratic romantic history/behavior.
• Daniel calls Maggie "Mom" for the first time, while Melanie begins to also use "Grandma".
• A demented Ian claims that the gold coin that Stefano so desperately sought proves that he is entitled to half of the DiMera Fortune, a concept that bewilders his hostages.
• Jackson criticizes Will for being selectively gay, sending the young man off in an angry fury that results in Will aggressively comforting a confused Gabriella.

• Abigail makes two failed efforts to have a romantic moment with Cameron, leading him to worry that she is not well and to break off their budding relationship.

• Nicole undergoes a routine ob-gyn appointment with a visiting replacement doctor, who reveals that the unborn child has no heartbeat and has died, devastating the woman.
• A heartbroken Nicole destroys her medical paperwork before it can be entered into the hospital database, gathers her belongings from Jennifer's house, and arrives at Daniel's apartment to settle in.
• Stefano dines with his adopted daughter Kristen Blake DiMera in Europe.
• Nicole argues with Jennifer at the Horton Town Square and falls down the stairwell just as Brady and Billie arrive.
• Kristen agrees to return to Salem and heal her family.
• Nicole's baby is delivered stillborn and based on eyewitness reports from Brady and Billie, Jennifer is arrested and charged in the purposeful murder of the unborn baby.
• Elvis tricks a despondent and heavily drugged Nicole into admitting that he was the father of the unborn baby and that Rafe and Daniel were part of the ruse.
• Samanther and Rafe have their romantic evening interrupted by news of the baby's death, leading Rafe once again to claim paternity, only to have the ruse exposed by Elvis, who plays the secretly recorded conversation with Nicole.

SalemDay 37 began on Friday, October 19, 2012.

• John is traumatized by sudden memories of Kristen, apparently triggered by Jackson's request that he lead a discussion on his personal involvement with Stefano's family.
• After spending the night in jail, Jennifer is released on her own recognizance and returns home, only to learn that her own daughter doesn't believe that Nicole's fall was an accident.
• Kristen lurks in Horton Town Square, spies John and Marlena, seeks out her former nemesis in the park, and announces her return to the shocked doctor.
• Bo decides to take the lead in caring for Caroline.
• Caroline gets angry at suggestions that live-in help be hired, then opens up to the idea of treatment when Kayla locates a special program, although it would mean leaving Salem for awhile.
• Stefano calls Chad, who is disinterested in making up with his father and equally disinterested when meeting his older sister Kristen.
• Anne wants Jennifer to resign.
• At Daniel's urging, with hints that they could have a future if there was no reason to remain in Salem, Nicole reluctantly changes her perspective on the Town Square confrontation with Jennifer, conceding that it was an accident.
• Roman tells Jennifer that she is off the hook, now that Nicole has changed her story.

Daysaster Explodes on the Scene

SalemDay 26 began on Friday July 6, 2012.

• Daniel and Nicole have their third hookup in three days.
• Brady seeks out sponsor Maggie and tries to explain to Madison that he did buy cocaine, but that he didn't take any, despite being incommunicado all night long.
• Will encourages Elvis to take the polygraph test and clear his name, only to have the idea backfire when Elvis stumbles on the question of whether Stefano was his father.
• Kate nearly ingests cocaine when she considers a sample of Brady's energy smoothie mix, unaware that Ian has spiked the mix with the drug.
• Melanie flirts with Andrew, attempts another escape, and is spirited away from his basement to the underground Salem tunnel system.
• Lucas is upset that Will is working again for Elvis and becomes even more upset when he spies Samanther comforting the younger DiMera yet again.
• John decides to stake his claim on the DiMera fortune.
• After discovering that Melanie never arrived in Europe to meet with her mother, Chad and Daniel report her as missing to the police, who arrive at Andrew's home only to discover Gabriella locked in the basement secret room.
• Brady heads to rehab.
• After Ian plants gloves in Elvis' apartment, the police locate them and continue to build their circumstantial case against him.
• Carrie confides her unhappiness and confusion to Marlena, who advises her to make a decision and move forward.

SalemDay 27 began on Wednesday July 18, 2012.

• Abe plans a glamorous fundraiser for autism research as a tribute to his dead wife.
• When Samanther and Elvis review surveillance tapes from the alley where Elvis tossed his gloves, they see a dark-clothed stranger retrieve the gloves, proving that someone is setting him up.
• John continues to try to wrest away control of the DiMera fortune, but despite help from Lucas and Marlena, the plan falls short and fails.
• Lucas finds Alice's letter to Stefano in Will's abandoned backpack and takes it to the police, angering his son and giving the police one final piece of the puzzle, allowing them to arrest Elvis for the murder of Stefano DiMera.
• Carrie and Austin decide to move back to Switzerland.
• After one SalemDay in Rehab, Brady returns to Salem with plans to marry Madison in a midnight ceremony the next day.
• Nicole continues to have stomach pains, leading her to fear for her unborn child.

• Melanie un-masks Andrew in yet another attempt to escape, then manages to steal his cellphone and get a message to Chad before Andrew takes back the phone and trashes it in the tunnel rubble.
• Carrie and Austin depart for Switzerland.
• Will and Elvis are thrilled when Samanther reveals she secretly copied the surveillance video on to a convenient flash-drive, only to be stunned when she is mugged later in the day and has the drive stolen.
• Rafe leaves town on assignment for Agent Spenser.
• Abe and Theo host an autism fundraiser, paying tribute to Alexandra as Salem's best and brightest gather for a glittery ceremony.
• Madison worries to Marlena and John that Brady is missing only hours before their planned midnight wedding at St Lukes.
• Samanther uses Countess Wilhelmina to bail Elvis from jail.
• Melanie and Andrew are rocked by an underground explosion just as Chad, Brady, and Gabriella search for them in the Salem Tunnel system.

• Nicole reveals to Elvis that Stefano stole the election for Abraham, only to have the plan backfire when irregularities were researched.
• John and Hope return to Salem, having escaped Stefano with the help of the ISA.
• Stefano returns to Salem, dines with Kate, and dumps her.
• Marlena remains upset that John is working with the ISA.
• Once Hope returns to Salem and arrives at his bedside, Bo wakes up from his beating-induced coma.
• In an effort to cheer a broken-hearted Gabriella, Will tells her that he is gay and their breakup was entirely understandable.
• Madison is startled when Ian offers an uncontested divorce and when Stefano fires Kate.

SalemDay 17 began on Friday April 20, 2012

• When Lucas declares he will be in Salem for a bit longer, his fiance Autumn cancels their engagement.
• Stefano names Samanther as CEO of Countess Wilhelmina Cosmetics, where her first act in charge is to hire Lucas to be her second-in-command.
• Carrie fantasizes about Rafe,
• Alexandra is given only weeks to live and informs her father that she is dying.
• Nicole has pains, sending her to the hospital
• Bo is released from the hospital, but heads directly to an ISA safehouse, where he, Hope, John, and Marlena can lay low while Shane builds a case against Stefano.
• Alexandra tells Chad that she is dying.
• While helping at the safehouse, Rafe discovers the entire building is wired as a bomb, trapping Carrie and him with the Blacks and Bradys.
• Shane manages to help John defuse the bomb, only to have a secondary device triggered.
• Elvis finds the paperwork declaring that Stefano is not his father, leading to a confrontation where Stefano admits that he stole the swindled Basic Black funds and disowns the younger DiMera.
• Shane and Roman are stunned when the safehouse is leveled, with no sign of life, only to discover that the six captives escaped though a basement trapdoor which Carrie and Rafe discovered while lifting up the carpet.
• The safehouse survivors decide to remain "dead" so that a plan can be hatched to catch Stefano once and for all, giving roman the task to travel to Salem and break the devastating news to their families and the media.

SalemDay 18 began on Wednesday, May 9, 2012.

• The Brady Pub hosts a wake for the dead six Salemites, allowing Elvis and Stefano to see how devastated both families are at the sudden deaths.
• After services are held, Roman secretly takes a handful of blind-folded Salemites to see the very-much-alive family members, who apologize for the pain they have caused, but remain adamant that the  ruse must continue.

SalemDay 19 began on Friday, May 11, 2012.

• Bo and Hope depart the safehouse to meet with Shane and Billie, who reveals that she has learned that Stefano swindled Elvis, then dodge Agent Harmon, who sneaks into ISA headquarters to steal the half-coin.
• Will accidentally reveals to his mother that he shot Elvis, that Lucas went to jail on his behalf, and that Elvis counter-blackmailed him in order to keep him out of jail.
• Hope discovers a secret flaw in the engraved coin, which is stolen from ISA custody from Agent Harmon.
• Austin convinces Roman to return him to the safehouse in order to reconcile with Carrie, who has just declared her undying love/lost/admiration for Rafe.
• John repeats his threats to kill Stefano once and for all, as Shane sets a plan in action to catch Stefano conducting an illegal international arms deal, a scheme which actually works and leads to the man's arrest, only to have the CIA insist on an immediate release, as the arms sales was part of a covert government plan to remove arms from the market, a scheme under which Stefano was given total immunity .
• Maggie buys the spa, plots an ad campaign featuring Chad, hosts a private birthday celebration for her husband, overhears a "secret" comment to Henderson, and confronts Victor, who finally reveals that he helped Daniel's birth mother steal her frozen embryos 3+ decades earlier.
• Alexandra makes a scrapbook, films a tearful video for her son to watch once she has died, announces a once-in-a-lifetime trip to Paris, inviting much of her family to join her on the DiMera plane, only to have her physician cancel the plans as travel could be problematic in her condition, leading Abraham and her three brothers to transform the Salem Town Square into a mini-Parisian theme park.
• Gabriella continues to fabricate a stalker to win favor with Chad.
• After Samanther critically points out to her son that some day he will have to make tough decisions and lie to protect the ones he loves, Will declares that he is nothing like her, that he won't ever live a life of lies, that he has been keeping a major component of his life under wraps, and that he is gay, shocking both of his parents.
• Ian secretly drugs Brady's smoothie, leading everyone to think Brady is taking drugs again.
• After her son's declaration, Samanther is speechless, then flees the apartment, running into Elvis at the Town Square for a quick heart-to-heart, returns to her apartment just as Will reveals that his grandmother was instrumental in helping him come to terms with his identity, leading her to become furious again, driving Will from the scene.
• Marlena believes that Carrie is pregnant.

SalemDay 20 began on Thursday May 24, 2012.

• Freed from the safehouse and angry that Stefano has escaped his fate yet again, Bo and Hope celebrate their anniversary in a hotel suite.
• Stefano orchestrates a lunch for his dying daughter, bringing together all of his extended family.
• Carrie confirms her pregnancy with an impromptu drugstore visit and continues to fantasize about Rafe rather than her husband.
• John and Marlena try to lift Alexandra's spirits with a New York themed picnic, while later on Bo and Hope vow to remain a part of Theo's life.
• Will reveals to Elvis that Stefano made him reveal the grief-sex between Elvis and Samanther to Rafe,

SalemDay 21 began on Wednesday May 30, 2012.

• Alexandra meets quietly with her father and brother as her health fades, then learns that her tumor was likely caused by her underground imprisonment by Andre DiMera.
• After Elvis and Rafe provide DNA samples, Nicole swaps them, only to be discovered in the act by Dr Jonas, who reprimands her but purposely does not switch the samples back.
• Elvis fires Will.
• A sudden rainstorm hits Salem as Gabriella hires Andrew to stage stalking her, enabling her to seek protection from Chad in the hopes of undermining his burgeoning relationship with Melanie.
• After Roman warns Salemites to not take matters into their own hands, Elvis, Abraham, John, Hope, Will, Kate, Bo and Marlena all sneak into the DiMera Mansion, handle Abraham's abandoned gun, and confront a weary Stefano about  his varied misdeeds.
• As the storm rages, Stefano is shot dead in his private library.

SalemDay 22 began on Tuesday June 5, 2012.

• Roman reveals that seven sets of fingerprints are on the murder weapon, questions each of the suspects with Officer Kent taking copious notes, arranges for all the suspects to take gunpowder residue, clears six of the suspects, and is shocked when he has to arrest grandson Will for the murder of Stefano DiMera.
• Elvis and Rafe are startled when Rafe is confirmed as the father of Nicole's unborn child.
• Jennifer is ecstatic when she learns that Jack will publish his memoir, detailing his year of captivity in Afghanistan.
• Will is shocked when Elvis pays his bail.

SalemDay 23 began on Wednesday June 13,  2012.

• Alexandra joins her family in bidding farewell to dead Stefano at a private wake in the DiMera Living Room, just hours before his body is whisked off to Italy for private burial.
• Rafe is named to lead the investigation into Stefano's murder.
• Annoyed that Madison doesn't believe that he remains drug-free, Brady volunteers to take a drug test.
• Chad and Melanie argue about Stefano as stalker Andrew watches from a distance.
• Confused that Elvis paid his bail, Will theorizes that Elvis killed Stefano.
• Victor pleads for Maggie's forgiveness over the decades-old embryo swap and when she refuses to consider that, he decides to set her free, announcing that he will not contest a divorce, all of which makes Maggie reconsider her options and decide to stay married to him.
• Justin and Carrie visit Will to plan his defense, just as Neal arrives at the police station to provide Will an alibi, explaining that he was with Will on the night of the murder at Salem's previously-unknown gay bar, The Spot.
• Andrew kidnaps Melanie, hiding her in a basement.
• Austin tells his mother about his wife's pregnancy.
• Will is cleared of all charges.
• Kayla reveals that her marriage is in shambles and that Steve has rejoined the ISA.
• After a delightful quiet picnic with her husband in her well-manicured flower garden, Alexandra dies, a mere seven SalemDays after being diagnosed with her fatal tumor.

SalemDay 24 began on Friday June 22, 2012.

• Agent Spenser arrives in Salem to oversee the investigation into Stefano's murder.
• Kate takes Carrie on a shopping extravaganza, then threatens her with a gift of a silver knife if she should ever stray again from Austin and rekindle her relationship with Rafe.
• As Will shies away from all the media publicity about his alibi with Neal at The Spot, Jackson confides to Lucas that he has developed strong feelings for Will, but that he realizes his newly-out friend is not ready to start any type of long term serious relationship.
• Brady is stunned when his drug test is returned as positive.
• Will notices that Elvis is distracted by a letter, which he later finds on the living room floor, but is unable to read it as Elvis returns and retrieves the document, all the while warning Will that he owes his freedom to Elvis and that that freedom can all be taken away with one phone call.
• Kate begins to believe that Ian has orchestrated Brady's relapse.
• Alexandria's memorial is held.

SalemDay 25 began on Monday July 2, 2012.

• Melanie is upset to learn she is missing Independence Day festivities and attempts an escape.
• After Elvis not-so-discreetly hides the letter from Alice Horton in his desk, Will stumbles upon it, reads it, realizes what it means, steals it, stores it in the safe at the Brady Pub, returns to the DiMera Mansion, reveals that he knows the truth about Elvis' parentage, and successsfully demands a return of his sportscar and apartment, along with a paid official position at DiMera Enterprises.
• After a shopping tour with Marlena, Carrie is confronted by her sister, who is furious that Carrie withheld news of her pregnancy, then hints that either of their husbands could be the babydaddy, enraging Marlena and causing Carrie to continue to agonize over her unresolved feelings for Samanther's estranged husband.
• As Melanie dreams about a rescue by Chad, Andrew mocks Gabriella for not taking their plan seriously, which confuses her as there is no plan.
• Brady confronts Ian, then arranges a drug buy, and disappears.
• Cameron accepts a job in Salem.
• Gabriella sees Melanie being held captive, freaks out at what Andrew has done, and then determines that it isn't a bad idea after all to keep her friend locked up in the basement while she gets closer to Chad.

• Jack orchestrates a reunion between Jennifer and Abigail, leading his ex-wife to express her reignited feelings, only to have him declare that he is setting her free.
• Austin insists that he and Carrie return to Zurich, only to have his wife reject the idea outright.
• Marlena and Will corner Samanther.
• Rafe learns about Samanther and Elvis when he overhears Will confide the story to Jackson.
