• Shawn Douglas returns to Salem for the wedding at Horton Town Square.
• Hope and Rafe are called away to Chicago, explaining their wedding absence.
• Kayla and Val try to calm Marlena on her wedding day.
• John's black eye is covered with makeup.
• Susan centers all the hourglass centerpieces for the reception at Doug's Place.
• Brady and Eric co-escort Marlena down the aisle.
• Susan collects everyone's cell phones to make for a quiet ceremony.
• Claire warbles a tune at the ceremony.
• While giving his reading at the ceremony, memories of his own wedding flood Will.
• A drugged Samanther storms the wedding, wailing that John will die.
• Will remembers everything and tearfully recounts everything to Jackson.
• Samanther realizes that Susan Banks is actually Kristen DiMera.
• An unmasked Kristen pulls a gun and in the ensuing bedlam, hands it to an unsteady Samanther, who continues to spout gibberish.
• Will decides to stay committed to Paul.
• Kristen announces that Elvis is alive and encourages Samanther to kill John.
• Eric lunges for his twin, causing bedlam at the wedding.
• Marlena is shot and collapses at the wedding altar.
• Kristen retrieves the gun, grabs Claire as protection, and flees Horton Square.
• Doug and Julie find Susan Banks in the freezer.
• John worries as Marlena is taken into surgery by Val and Kayla.
• Kristen leaves Claire behind with a twisted ankle, heads to the Salem Inn, and seduces Brady Black in the Hoenymoon Suite.
• Steve is arrested for espionage when files he has reviewed with his new eyesight are compromised.
• Samanther, Paul, and Eve find Brady with Kristen in the Honeymoon Suite.
• Wishy washy Chad decides to re-connect with Abigail, infuriating Gabriella, who has moved into the Kiriakis Mansion in order to be closer to her daughter Arianna Grace.
• Kristen and Paul struggle for the gun, sending both of them out the three-story window.
• During surgery, Marlena flatlines.
• Paul is found unconscious in the square, his fall lessened by an awning.
• Kristen is nowhere to be found, and turns up shortly at the DiMera Mansion, where she meets half-brother Stefan for the first time and pleads to let her escape to the tunnels under the propoerty.
• Everything looks bleak when Marlena suffers from septic shock and is placed on a ventilator to survive.

SalemDay 27 began on Friday, September 7, 2018.

• While completing Marlena's insurance and admissions paperwork, Belle is surprised to find her mother's Advanced Directive, declaring that she does not wish to be kept alive by extenuating means.
• Paul awakens in the hospital and learns that Will now remembers his entire life.
• Bonnie tells Lucas that he is the father of her baby.
• Paul discovers that he is paralyzed from the wait down.
• Rafe secretly takes Samanther from jail to see her dying mother.
• Sheila arrives with Baby Bonnie.
• Belle provides Kayla with Marlena's medical documents, while John tries to legally block the removal of Marlena's breathing ventilator.
• Claire, Will, Eric, Brady, Belle, and Samanther all have heartbreaking final goodbye visits with Marlena.
• When Kayla turns off the ventilator, "Marlena" awakens and berates all her children.
• Hope finds Ben's fingerprint on the evidence located outside the burnt-out cabin, leading her to arrest him again for attempted murder.
• John is furious that Hattie is not acting like Marlena, putting the entire plan in jeopardy.
• Rafe and Shawn Douglas share concerns about Hope suddenly finding such clear evidence so many days after the forensics staff blanketed the woods outside the burnt out cabin.
• Tripp and Ciara are blindsided by the new evidence, while Shawn Douglas begins a secret review.

SalemDay 28 began on Wednesday, September 19, 2018.

• Gabriella sabotages Chad and Abigail's planned picnic by drugging Abigail and planting a variety of "Gabby Evidence" in the Horton House.
• Lucas and Baby Bonnie undergo DNA tests, proving they are related.
• Kate nearly tells Chad that Gabriella is drugging Abigail.
• Steve calls Kayla, who is devastated that Stefan used the bionic eye technology to frame her husband.
• Shawn Douglas and Rafe declare their support for Hope, despite strong suspicions that the police commissioner planted the evidence against Ben Weston.
• Hattie declares that she and John need to get married.
• Ciara decides that she was wrong about Ben and reconciles with her mother.
• Jeannie Theresa calls Brady, declaring that she and Tate will be staying in California.
• Racked with guilt and frustrated by Eve's pleadings, Jennifer finally tells Eric that Brady blackmailed Nicole into leaving Salem after she killed Deimos.
• Eric is even more furious when he learns that Jennifer has known about the blackmail for "two months", even though it has only been three SalemDays.
• When it is determined that the gunshots which hit Marlena did not come from the gun Kristen gave her, Samanther finally makes makes bails, heads to the DiMera Mansion, meets her brother-in-law, offers him money in exchange for information, and ends up being locked in the secret room.
• Eric asks Maggie for information on Nicole.
• Maggie lies to Eric, then calls Nicole.
• Eric confronts Brady with the truth about Nicole.
• Brady admits everything, then fumes when he learns from Jennifer that Eve is the one who spilled the information.
• Brady leaves town with Kristen.

SalemDay 29 began on Friday, September 28, 2018.

• Hattie insists on a wedding.
• Belle arranges for Abe Carver to complete the ceremony in "Marlena's" hospital room.
• Maggie tells Eric that Nicole is in Nashville, subletting Sarah Horton's apartment.
• Marlena awakens and finds Kristen just inside her hidden hospital room.
• Ciara decides to forget about Ben Weston and beds Tripp Dalton.
• Shawn Douglas confirms that the fingerprints were planted on the evidence his mother conveniently found just outside the burnt out mountain cabin.
• Stefan delivers breakfast to the secret room, only to discover his sister is gone and that Samanther was his overnight house guest.
• When confronted that the evidence was faked, Hope is forced to release Ben.
• Roman and Kayla save Marlena from a murderous Kristen.
• Chad finds the Gabby Wig in the Horton House bedroom.
• Mimi is furious that her mother is using the baby to score a release from prison.
• Eric arrives in Nashville, sees Nicole, and makes plans to bring her and Holly back to Salem, only to be interrupted by Xander Cook Kiriakis, who is now married to Nicole.
• Kristen and Brady check into a no-tell motel, somewhere "south" of Salem.
• Samanther offers Stefan $125M for information about Elvis.

SalemDay 30 began on Wednesday, October 10, 2018.

• Bored at the hospital, Hattie heads to the pub to visit "Dreamboat" Roman.
• Eric and Nicole plot her escape, only to be interrupted by Samanther.
• Lucas decides to sue for full custody of Baby Bonnie.
• Brady follows Kristen to a warehouse.
• Mimi pleads with Bonnie to come clean about the baby, only to be threatened that her mother will tell the authorities that Mimi is the one who actually killed her father and that Bonnie went to jail "for ten years" to protect Mimi.
• Brady finds "Elvis" in the warehouse, then is knocked out by Xander.
• Mimi agrees to let the custody hearing play out.
• Kristen is shaken that Brady faked his attention/lust for her.

SalemDay 31 began on Tuesday, October 16, 2018.

• Ciara dreams about Ben Weston.
• Abigail believes that Gabriella is setting her up.
• Rafe believes that Hope did not plant the faked evidence, and theorizes that JJ could be the culprit.
• Kristen taunts Brady as he is held captive in the warehouse.
• Eric and Samanther both follow Xander to the warehouse.
• Samanther rescues Brady from Kristen, hears about Elvis, then locks Brady in an empty room.
• Lucas gets a restraining order against the Lockharts to protect Baby Bonnie.
• Gabriella further orchestrates more evidence of Gabby.
• Samanther finds that Elvis is gone from the warehouse.
• Mimi decides to hire BFF Belle Black, and then tells her attorney that Baby Bonnie is her baby and not her sister.
• Dr Rolf has Elvis in the exam room and injects him with an updated serum.
• Dr Rex Brady returns to Salem and tells his father that he is finally engaged.
• Elvis has a traumatic reaction to the injection, attempting to strangle Dr Rolf and upsetting a chemical cart, starting a flash fire.
• As the fire rages, Samanther finds a severely burned Elvis in Dr Rolf's exam room.
• An explosion rocks the building, separating Nicole and Holly from the others.
• Eric and Brady dig through rubble and extricate Holly.
• Paul gets accustomed to Wheelchair Life.
• When his wife has yet another blackout, Chad consults the Hortons and makes the difficult decision to commit her back to the sanitarium.
• Abigail overhears Chad/Jennifer/JJ make plans and heads to the DiMera Mansion for Stefan's help.
• As the smoke and fire intensify, Eric refuses to leave Nicole.
• After delivering Holly "across the street to a shopkeeper", Brady begs his brother to leave, then knocks him unconscious and drags him outside.
• Samanther wheels the burnt Elvis out of the collapsing building.
